A Journey of Faith and Service
Shalom Children’s Care was founded with a deep commitment to transforming the lives of underprivileged children through love, education, and support.
The mission began with Barugahara Gabriel, who, while working overseas with the U.S. military, experienced powerful visions of children in need. In one vision, he saw himself giving water to thirsty children in Uganda, and in another, teaching children without access to education. Through prayer and guidance, he realized his calling to start an orphanage.
In 2017, Gabriel returned to Uganda and opened his home to orphaned and vulnerable children. What started as a small initiative has grown into a thriving mission, providing shelter, education, and hope to children in need.
